Like most specialty providers, I’ve chosen to work outside of the insurance system so that therapy can remain focused on your goals, without limitations of a diagnosis or requirements to fit a specific timeline for progress.

This decision allows us to move at a pace that feels right for you, have full privacy over your mental health records, and create a plan for your growth that’s flexible and personalized. This article provides more detailed insight regarding the decision to work out-of-network.

With that, I have several clients who either:

  • Submit a Superbill receipt for out-of-network reimbursement to have sessions partially covered
  • Fund sessions through a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Savings Account (FSA) using pre-tax dollars. You just need a credit or debit card connected to your HSA or FSA account to use these funds for therapy sessions.

I see many of my clients on a weekly basis. Another common set up for my clients is weekly sessions for about 4-8 weeks, and then biweekly sessions for as long as needed. This structure typically allows enough time upfront to build our rapport and momentum. Then, a biweekly session frequency after some progress has been established tends to feel sustainable for most of my clients.

I may recommend that we increase or decrease the frequency of sessions to best meet your needs- this will be a collaborative topic we’ll check in with each other about!

Weekly sessions are offered Monday-Thursday, starting at 11am- 7pm EST.

Appointments are 50 minutes long, though I offer 90 minute sessions upon request.

If you’re unsure about online therapy, I get it! Meeting with a therapist through a screen can feel unfamiliar at first. While it may feel relatively new, it’s actually not— online therapy has been safely and effectively used for years, and research continues to show it’s just as effective as in-person therapy for the types of concerns I support clients with.

I offer therapy online to make high-quality support more accessible, flexible, and convenient. My clients prefer virtual therapy because it lets them stay in their own space, eliminates the commute, and makes it easier to show up consistently and fit sessions into their day.

As I do not maintain a physical office, all sessions are held via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. I do not offer phone (i.e., audio only) sessions, but video sessions may be accessed through your personal device for your convenience.

If you’re still not sure online therapy is for you, I completely understand! I’d always encourage you to seek support in a way that feels right and safe for you. I’m not here to convince you—just to offer an option. You get to decide what’s best for you!

Therapy Process

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this. The time you spend in therapy depends on your own goals and the factors driving you to seek therapy.

I work from structured models like EFT for couples, EMDR, and IFS, which means that I am always looking to identify 1) patterns in the places where you get stuck and 2) strategies, skills, and in-session exercises to help break those patterns. However, a huge part of therapy is our relationship with each other. This is a journey that we venture on together. Part of that journey is expressing yourself and your emotions clearly with someone you trust (i.e., me), and that trust can take a little bit of time to build as I get to know you and your story.

For couple clients, research shows that those participating in EFCT have high outcomes of success in about 20 sessions. However, couples coming into therapy with infidelity or trauma backgrounds should expect a longer timeframe (8-12 months) for therapy to be effective.

For individual clients, timeframes vary more depending on goals and individual context.

I take a collaborative, non-judgmental, and relatable approach to therapy that will make getting started a bit easier. During our first session or two, I’ll ask you a bunch of questions to get to know you and more about your life. I will listen to you without judgment. We will come up with goals together of what you hope to accomplish in therapy.

Over the course of therapy you’ll have the chance to express yourself, gain perspective and new insights, learn to observe your thoughts, and develop and practice new coping skills. If you’re working with a partner, you’ll be able to practice new communication skills too.

It’s usually best if you come to session knowing what you’d like to focus on and work on that day. Having some ideas of where you have been getting stuck or not feeling well can help us organize and best use our time together in the session. Some sessions therapy can be tough work, and sometimes it feels lighter. Either way, I am here to support you and will help you achieve the change and growth you are looking for.

The reality is that most people would benefit from professional mental health support at some point in their lives. Life is full of change, transitions, trauma, conflict, stress, grief, heartbreak, and more. Most of us never learned how to understand our emotions, navigate the complexity of our relationships, or listen to the quieter parts of ourselves.

Friends and loved ones can absolutely be healing supports! Yet, their role is different. Therapists are trained to stay attuned to your story without getting pulled into it. While they offer empathy and care, they also help you spot the protective strategies you’ve developed over time and support you in leading yourself with more clarity, confidence, and calm.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I’m less focused on diagnosing and labeling and more focused on the context of your experience (e.g., your history, relationships, and environment) to help understand what’s happening and how to shift patterns.

Therapy isn’t only for people with a traditional diagnosis. It’s for anyone who wants to feel more aligned, improve relationships, or find new ways of coping with stress. The world we live in is overstimulating. On top of personal stressors, we’ve all experienced collective challenges like terrorist attacks, the pandemic, political unrest, and ongoing uncertainty.

Even when you’ve “gotten through it,” your body and mind may have held onto stress in ways that show up as anxiety, irritability, disconnection, or exhaustion. It’s less about what’s “wrong” with you and more about lingering effects from what you’ve been through and how we can help you move forward.

About Me

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Villanova University and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of South Florida. I am currently working as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida.

In between degrees, I worked in the finance industry in Manhattan, New York for about six years.

I have also completed extensive and advanced trainings in systemic therapy models. These are the methods that most heavily inform my practice:

Please refer to my about page for more about my background and full list of modality-specific qualifications.

Absolutely. In my practice, I am committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive space where clients of all racial backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, faith traditions, and diverse experiences can feel seen, respected, and valued (I myself am in an interracial marriage within an interfaith family).

As a systemic therapist, I am committed to considering the ways that societal frameworks have impacted your mental health and relationships and am dedicated to providing culturally responsive support.

It’s completely natural to want to feel seen and understood—especially when you’re sharing so much of your inner world with a professional. That sense of connection isn’t just comforting, it’s a key part of what makes therapy work.

I bring over three decades of personal and professional experience, including relationships beginning and ending, marriage, family ruptures, career changes, and navigating grief and loss. While I may not have lived your exact story, I can usually relate to the emotion or impact behind it. My role is to meet you with presence, curiosity, and care—not to match experiences one for one, but to help you feel understood and heal in your own way.

Therapy isn’t based on personal opinions—it’s guided by evidence-based models that support lasting change. To help you decide if we’re a good fit, I offer an optional 15-minute consult call before booking an intake session- reach me here.

Before scheduling a therapy session, I offer an optional 15 minute intro call with potential new clients. This gives us the chance to get to know each other prior to scheduling an intake session. We’ll talk about:

  • Why you’re seeking therapy
  • I’ll tell you a bit about my approach
  • You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover
  • We’ll talk about rates, scheduling, logistics, etc.

I’m only able to offer one of these complimentary calls per client. As such, if you are interested in couples therapy and you’d both like to speak before, please be sure to coordinate with one another so you are both on the call.

Next Steps

If we both decide we’re a good fit after our intro call, we’ll schedule our first therapy session. I’ll send you some forms to complete before the appointment, all electronically.

Prior to the session, I’ll send the Zoom link to your email. Working online is really convenient for clients and especially couples who have busy schedules- no commuting or sitting around in an awkward waiting room anymore!

Send me a message on the form below or here and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Once we decide we’d like to move forward, we’ll get you onboarded as a client, complete your intake paperwork, and schedule the first session.
