About My Therapy And Counseling Approach

I imagine you are searching for a therapist because there are things you’d like to change.

  • Connect the ways early family lessons play out in present day relationships
  • Skillfully reprocess old wounds so the past can stay in the past
  • Discover ways to stay well-connected to your best and truest Self
  • Practice communication skills that help you get your needs met
  • Nourish the relationship you have with yourself (the most important one!)

Life is relational- no one is meant to figure everything out— or heal— on their own. I’ll listen to you, challenge you, create space for exploration and healing, and help you make the changes you want for your life.

About Danielle Sethi Therapy

Therapy that is….

✔ Collaborative

Rather than simply sitting & nodding, I’ll dig in and come alongside you to work toward your goals.

✔ Holistic

I consider how things like your health, relationships, family systems, and broader society impact you.

✔ Non-intimidating

Starting therapy is a huge, brave step. I’m here to support and guide you without judgement.

✔ Strategic

Evidence-backed models guide my work so you feel seen AND learn practical tools to change your life.

My Background

I spent my early adulthood searching for answers outside myself, doing whatever I could to numb the messages I was hearing from within.

That pattern led to a six-year stint in NYC working at J.P. Morgan— an externally fulfilling career that left me feeling disconnected, anxious, and unsure why my relationships were struggling or why I couldn’t fulfill the deeper parts of myself.

Fast-forward through a career pivot, healing childhood wounds through deep therapy, earning my Master’s in relational counseling, and finally learning how to connect to myself—I became a therapist, opened a practice, and never looked back.

When I’m not with clients, you can find me practicing or teaching yoga, recharging at the beach, obsessing over my dogs, or traveling with my husband (our wedding day pictured here!).

Clinical Philosophy

I believe, and research proves, that the relationship and trust you have with your therapist is the most important factor in predicting how successful therapy will be for you.

Instead of staring and nodding through our sessions, I’ll bring my humanity into the room. I’ll step alongside you so you don’t have to face challenges alone. We’ll honor where you are, notice patterns, and support you in creating the change you are looking for.

I’ve designed my boutique, independent wellness practice to prioritize personalized, flexible care in a comfortable setting, free from the constraints of larger corporate systems.

Credentials

When I became a clinician, I knew that I wanted to offer not only a safe container for clients to show up as themselves, but also well-researched tools to support you in true growth.

To this end, I’ve trained in several healing modalities that align with my view of change.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology- Villanova University (Go Cats!)
  • Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy University of South Florida (COAMFTE Accredited)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)- State of Florida
  • IFS Therapy- IFS Institute – Completed Level 1 Training

Therapy Methods

These are the therapy approaches that most highly influence and shape my work with clients. Each method offers unique techniques, tools, and perspectives to help you understand yourself, navigate challenges, and build healthier relationships.

In Internal Family Systems therapy, you’ll notice the different parts of yourself showing up—sometimes critical, anxious, or stuck. IFS helps you understand and care for these parts, heal old wounds, and bring your inner system into harmony.

EFT is a therapy for relationships. It helps you and your partner notice patterns that create distance or conflict. You learn to respond with love, connect more, build trust, and resolve miscommunications so you’re both more fulfilled.

EMDR helps your brain and body process traumatic memories so they feel less overwhelming. As you reprocess these experiences, emotions lose their charge, and you start to feel more connected, calm, and able to respond differently.
